Dr. Maria Montessori: A Visionary in Child Education

Dr. Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator, and visionary who transformed the way children learn. Born in 1870, she became one of the first female doctors in Italy and devoted her life to understanding child development through scientific observation.

Through her work with children, Dr. Montessori discovered that children learn best in a prepared environment that respects their natural curiosity, independence, and pace of learning. She developed the Montessori Method, an educational approach that encourages hands-on learning, self-discipline, concentration, and a love for lifelong learning.

What Parents Says

Maya R

"My daughter went from hesitant to confident in just one semester. She now ties her own shoes, prepares her lunch, and says 'I can do it myself!'—Small Heart didn't just teach her academics; it gave her independence."

"The guides see each child's potential before they see it themselves. My son struggled with focus in preschool, but here he's thriving—reading early, solving math problems, and genuinely loving school."
